Nestled in the lush landscapes of La Fortuna de San Carlos, this tropical modern restaurant embodies a harmonious blend of contemporary architecture and its surrounding natural environment. Designed to celebrate the unique landscape and climate of the Arenal Volcano region, the building features open, breathable spaces where the boundaries between indoor and outdoor areas seamlessly blend.

 Its exposed steel structure allows for expansive spans and generous overhangs, contributing to the visual lightness and structural efficiency of the design. The ceilings, made from natural cane, add warmth, texture, and an artisanal quality that reflects traditional tropical architecture, reimagined with a modern touch.

The dark stone cladding on the main walls provides a solid foundation, grounding the structure within the landscape and contrasting beautifully with the vibrant greens of the surrounding vegetation. Integrating vegetation into the architectural design softens the transition between the built environment and nature, offering shade, freshness, and a sense of organic harmony.

The interior is designed as a fluid and continuous space, allowing diners to experience the ever-changing tropical light, breeze, and humidity. This creates an architectural experience that enriches the senses and enhances the tropical essence of La Fortuna.
