Stellar House in Abu Dhabi, a contemporary luxury design by Alianz, is a testament to the enduring power of celestial bodies and ancient Costa Rican culture. The design, starting from a dense, spherical center representing the core of every celestial body in space, is a unique blend of ancient and modern influences. Just as on the planet Earth, the cores are densely strong geological reactions; the sphere in the project is a circularly carved onyx rock. This spherical, circular shape and its meaning is something present in the oldest culture of Costa Rica. The indigenous geological discovery with the most tremendous significance in our territory is the large rock spheres carved by hand. Therefore, performing an act of sculpting the pure geometry of a sphere is an act of love of life or pursuit of our spiritual side.

The materials of Stellar House are composed of concrete coated in a light color that represents an invisible gravitational force. After that, a circular water radius surrounds the whole house, as do the satellites of the planets; the water represents the circumference path of the satellites.

As a decorative material, we have marble plates to give a luxurious feeling to the whole design. As a complementary material, we have the Arab grids. These cloths provide decoration and visual control of light and have been used in Arab construction for many years. In our project, geometry is used as geometries of rocks, representing the penetration of the force that has made  Stella an explosion of energy. The strength of its center is so strong that it penetrates the thin cloth, creating a geometric pattern. This use of materials is not just for aesthetic purposes but to convey the design’s aim of universal beauty and energy, inspiring all who experience it.
